I’ve always been a foodie, but the elation I’ve felt from eating was unexpectedly met with an insatiable hunger, and eagerness to create exquisite plant based recipes. Why the sudden urge to cook? Well, I owe this new undertaking and personal evolution to my best friend in the whole world – Baby Falcore. Yep, my pooch! Do you remember the movie “The Never Ending Story?” She looks exactly like Falcore the flying dog – but I digress! I’ve spent twelve years with this magical creature who has brought out the mother in me. Baby has taught me that a mother is not only one who cares for her own immediate circle, but instead is one who cares for the tiniest of creatures, to the most conspicuous! Baby awoke something inside me that had been turned to stone. It was as if I was under a spell of some sort, oblivious to my true authenticity. As I raised Baby, I saw that she had a thought process, feelings, and a personality that made my heart burst each day! I then had an epiphany that there is no difference between the animals we eat and the animals with which we share our homes. Our whole lives have been bombarded by traditions and advertisements by the most powerful industry in the world – the meat and dairy industry. Consuming animals has been “normal” for years. It has been embedded in our traditions and celebrations for so long, that we have become desensitized to the reality that we are inflicting pain on sentient beings for pleasure. Not for survival, but for pleasure. For taste. For money. Since when is pleasure and money more important than the life of a sentient being? Once I realized I had been brainwashed by a lifetime of advertisements and traditions telling me what to eat, the layers began to peel away and I began to see the world as it truly is – an adolescent in dire need of guidance. How could I help? What could I do? After all I am just one person in this crazy world. And then it happened. My blog and youtube channel were born. I dedicate the channel and blog to the animals that have died and those that continue to suffer. Every recipe I create is for the forgotten ones. Every video I make is for those creatures that didn’t have a chance to live out their lives in peace and harmony. The will and inspiration behind every recipe comes from that burning desire to end suffering and to contribute to raising the frequency of the planet. Videographer and photographer – Greg Makamian has made a huge contribution to Irene Coco Queen and devotes much of his time to helping spread this message of peace through our recipes.

I didn’t go to some fancy cooking school, as there are many things an institution won’t be able to teach you! I am a self taught creator but what I did learn, I learned from my mother who is of Cypriot origin. Living in the Mediterranean for the last twelve years has inspired me to embrace all the Greek spices, herbs and techniques, making many Greek traditional desserts and foods vegan! On my blog and channel you’ll find both; raw and cooked food, sweet and savory recipes, healthy and fatty ones too! Every recipe has a purpose as there are some people out there who are just transitioning from the SAD (standard American diet) to a plant based one, so some “fatty” recipes may be necessary – while others who are farther along on their journey to health can find healthy recipes as well.

I just want to say that everyone is welcome to my recipes. I welcome you no matter what diet you are on, or what philosophy you live by. My youtube channel and blog are here to provide you with cruelty-free recipes and so much love, inspiration, and confidence to cook for your loved ones! No matter who you are or where you are on your journey – you are most welcome here.
